Mn-richγMnFe alloys have anti-ferromagnetic transition and FCC-FCT martensitic transformation, and they happen approximately in the same temperature with a production of FCT thermal-elastic martensitic twins. This makes the high-damping property and shape memory effect come true. Also, the correlation between anti-ferromagnetic transition and martensitic transformation determines the non-hysteresis in shape meory effect. So, it makes significant senses for application in actuation and controlling fields to focus on the research of two-way shape memory effect mechanisms ofγMnFe alloy and develop the stable two-way strain responses. In addition to shape memory effect,γMnFe alloys also show up to 10-3 strain induced by a low magnetic field. It is also attractive for engineers that anti-ferromagnet has no magnetism, but can show up macro-strain...
