The automatic control of welding quality has always been a difficulty and hotspot in welding field, and the welding sensing technique is a key point in the process of it. It's very difficult to obtain accurate information of welding process because of so many disturbing factors existed during the process. There are kinds of welding sensors and each has its advantages and disadvantages. If the information acquired by different sensors can be combined and the advantages of each senor be used, it will be helpful to get more accurate information about welding process, analyze the forming mechanism of weld bead and build more accurate control model. The control system should be first made to control the welding process and collect welding information. Based on this analysis, this article did the following research.First, a data collector of welding voltage and current was made in this article. This collector can change the complicated signals of weld into the signals which can be measured by acquisition card.
