In recent years, large numbers of sludge are produced during the disposal of wastewater, and it may pollute the environment without stabilization or safe disposal because it is huge, vertiginous, putrid, and toxic. Proper treatment and resource utilization are needed for sludge final disposal. At the base of thorough analysis for traditional activated carbon production techniques, this paper proposes a useful method to utilize the excessive sludge to make up effective activated carbon adsorbent.According to some research documents, activated carbon was developed from activated sludge using ZnCl2 as chemical activation reagent and nitrogen as chemical activation gas in the first part of this paper. The results showed that the activated carbon adsorbent made at the activating temperature of 600℃, warming up at 20℃/min, in a period of 2h. The capacity of iodine adsorption was 772.43mg/g.The BET surface area was 617.87m2·g-1, pore volume was 0.37cm3·g-1, and micro pore volume was 0.18cm3·g-1, average aperture was 2.3nm. The adsorbent gained was used to treat with leachate of landfill sit to CODcr. And then, the function of the activation reagent ZnCl2 is worked out through thermal analysis apparatus, the experiment result shows that the function of ZnCl2 is to accelerate the organic component of the sewage sludge humidity and swell, mucus dissolve and dissolution, the reagent solution penetrates to the interior of the sewage sludge and dissolves organic components to produce small opening, and the reagent ZnCl2 can promote the H and O atom production and be separated to become H2O, so more C can be reserved in the sewage sludge to increase the yield of the adsorbent. Then the adsorbent is applied to adsorb leachate, the experiment results showed that the optimal AC dosage was 1.5%.Under the optimal conditions, after 120min of the equilibrium time, the color removal of the leachate reached over 85.4%, and the CODcr removal reached to 64.9%.Then optimize activated carbon preparation technics and choose secondary sedimentation tank sludge as the raw materiel, and investigate the...
