The Study And Realization Of Adaptive Triangular Mesh Generation For Sheet Forming Simulation

Automobile body cover panel plays a very important role in automobile industry, and mesh generation is one of the key techniques of sheet forming simulation. There are many complex mechanics knowledges in sheet forming process including material, geometrical and contact nonlinear phenomenon. In order to ensure the calculational precision as well as reduce CPU time, adaptive mesh generation is put forward. So searching for high speed, efficient and automatic adaptive mesh generation methods is of great importance.In this thesis, a new automatic adaptive triangular grid generation method is put forward, which is a combination of AFT (Advancing Front Technique) and Grid-based Method, and is used in some sheet forming simulation soft wares.
