Chagan Lake Wetland Nature Reserve in Jilin provincial western region, 124°10'~124°32' E, 45°10'~45°21' N, to stretch over the town (city) of Daan, Qianan and Qianguo, but the main part in the town of Qianguo. Types of protection district are inland wetland and aquatic ecosystem. The general area is 506.84 km2, and the area of outside preventive band is 146.66 km2. Of the total, the area of waters is 420 km2, which is made up by Chagan Lake, Xinmiao bubble, Yunzi bubble and such as lakes and the water-retention is 7.0×108 m3. Chagan Lake is one of China's seven major reservoir and the largest inland lake in Jilin Province..Chagan Lake's unique grassland lakes ecosystem and wetlands function which plays an important role for the sake of increaseing air humidity neighboring regions and rainfall to ease the drought in the region, extending the frost-free period, reducing sandstorm weather, promoting the growth of crops, protecting the biological diversity, enhancing regional groundwater, alleviating desertification and alkalization process, blocking and storing the flood in mentrual period, developing fisheries, reed industry, tourism, cultivation, and improving the income in the local economy. This paper was based on Chagan lake as a typical lake. The water quality and wetland lakes geochemical surveys have been carried out, which was to analysis physical, chemical and biological index and gain the preliminary evaluation of the interrelationship among the three, and approach water enviroment internal connection and regularity, then according to this analyze water quality condition of Chagan lake. The relative national standards are adopted to analyze the surface water samples. ICP-MS, spectrophotometric method, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, atomic fluorescence spectrophotometry, and other equipments are used for the detection of surface water samples analyzed. SPSS12.0 was used for data analysis, and the results are demonstrated by the form of x±s. Comparison of the rainfall season and rainless season is to utilize t (t′) test for with data analysis. The results showed that the pH value is generally higher, and the water was weakly alkaline and alkaline. The main cation is Na + and the main anion is HCO3 -, so the features of soda sodium-water is presented. The gradeШstandard water (General fish protection zones, the protection of second order water supply sources ) of "Surface Water Quality Standards" (GB 3838-2002) and "Fishery Water Quality Standards" (GB 11607-89) have been measured, except COD, F - overproof obviously, and certain sampling points of TN and KN overproof a little, other indexes are all below the national standards. Compared rainfall season with rainless season, the differences of pH, CODMn , K +, TFe, F -, TP, Be, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Se, Pb, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Tb, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and BCTC are significant statistically. Overall, Chagan Lake ecosystem health generally maintained at a fairly good level, and the water quality is eligible for fish growth and reproduction. Not only is the study of the cumulative basis, also help us understand the background of global changes in the natural evolution of wetland lakes. There is important practical significance to the socio-economic development and the local agricultural production. The result of the study will provide reliable and informative evidence for management and governance of Chagan lake, and contribute to the evaluation of lake water and have long-term ecologic, social and economic benefits.
