Using mathematics models to simulate and analyze is very important in modern wastewater treatment plant. IWA activated sludge model 1(ASM1) is more popular in such models. This research compared different kinds of measurement methods for the wastewater components, stoichiometric and kinetic parameters in Activated Sludge Model NO.1(ASM1), analyzed their veracity and influent factors.In this paper, we use batch OUR respirometric experiments and physical-chemical methods to measure readily biodegradable substrate (Ss), slowly biodegradable substrate(Xs), Inert suspended organic matter (XI) in wastewater respectively. For complex and actual wastewater, batch OUR respirometric experiment own much higher veracity than flocculation-filtration physical-chemical method to measure Ss in actual wastewater, But for Xs in actual wastewater, only soluble and colloid substrate can be measured, can't determine the solid substrate. Characterize the influent of Beishiqiao wastewater treatment plants in xi'an city according to ASM1, achieving the basic characterization of wastewater of this area. We can find in the filtrate COD consists of 15-30% of Ss, 50-70% of Xs and 10-17% of SI. And there are 20-30mg/L SNH,2-5mg/L Sno and 0.3-2.2mg/L Sno in the wastewater.When using Na-acetate as the substrate, we can achieve heterotrophic yield coefficient by batch OUR respirometric experiment and batch activated sludge experiment. The average value is 0.71 using Batch OUR respirometric experiment, and the value range is 0.29-0.80 using batch activated sludge experiment. So batch OUR respirometric experiment is the standard method for measuring Yh in wastewater. Else, the value of heterotrophic decay coefficient is 0.54. |
