In this study, we use three kinds of molecular weight cut — offs (MWCOS :10K, 50K, 100K) membrane (PES) to filtrate different volume BSA aqueous solution, which we use membrane cell to filtrate BSA aqueous solution by dead — end mode, and these data can collect on line monitoring. We analyze the variety of membrane flux, the quality of aggradation, and the dynamic distributing of membrane resistance respectively; we also analyze the filtration characteristic and membrane fouling of different MWCOS membrane. Finally we establish membrane fouling kinetic equation by the result of test.The flux takes on two variety regios: the first is speedy descending region and the second is placidity transition region, and this result caused by the increasing of membrane resistance. The analysis of membrane resistance indicates that the gel resistance is most and the gel resistance is more and more notability with the MWCOS increasing .Then we use thermogravimetric(TG) method to analysis membrane fouling. The results indicate that when we filtrate the same volume BSA aqueous, the smaller of MWCO, the more of the aggradation.According to the filtration behavior of different MWCOS membrane, we can establish the membrane fouling dynamic equation, and the simulation results inosculate to the test data. The model indicates that the behavior of pore blocking, pore compressing and cake formation are different. With the MWCOS increasing, the membrane fouling caused by pore blocking and pore compressing is more and more notability. We also gain the membrane fouling rate by calculating the aggradation mass of the membrane. The result indicates that the 10K and 50K membrane fouling rate are near, but the 100K fouling rate is more treble than the front both. The foundation of fouling model and fouling rate plays an important role in membrane technics.
