With the vigorous development of printing and dyeing industry in our country, the amount of wastewater emission from printing and dyeing excesses 1700,000,000 m3 per year. The dye in wastewater absorbs the ray then reduces the transparency of the water, which would influence the species and microorganism in water in combination with visual pollution and environmental damage. Characterized by complex chemical toxic components, lots of biorefractory organic compounds and enormous kinds of dye products, dye wastewater is difficult to be effectively treated and biodegraded. There have been various practical methods to treat the dye wastewater through years of endeavor of environmental scientists and environment engineers. However, no substantial breakthrough comes up during the past recent years. The process of sole biochemical treatment such as oxidation and the sole physical treatment such as active carbon absorption, air floatation, coagulation sedimentation and oxidation decoloration are completely different. In practice, deficiencies exist in most technology just as lack of stability during operation, unable to be operated under mild condition, or high cost to be accepted by enterprises. As a result, research of treatment of dye waste water remains to be an important focus today. The study aims to introduce technology of'anaerobic hydrolysis---contactoxidation---coagulation sedimentation'on the basis of engineering practice meeting the requirement as follows: Excellent result of treatment accompany with ease of application, From its running in Augest, 2003 till now,the average removal efficiencies of CODCr and chromaticity are 85% and 88% respectively, and pH of effluent value is 7. All the quality indexes of the treated water fit Grade One requirement of《Discharge Standard of Industrial Wateqr Pollution of Printing and Dyeing》(GB8978-1996).stability and low-cost of operation, little dirty mud and so on.Also in the study, we discuss the operation condition and the design parameters profoundly, and recommend the concrete design of apparatus.
