As a novel and effective separation technique, membrane process has many advantages. However concentration polarization and membrane fouling in the process severally limit its application and development. Therefore to investigate recovering of fouled ceramic membrane is very important in practice. In order to obtain the efficient chemical cleaning methods, the recovering of fouled ceramic membrane was studied. The results showed that: concentration of different cleaning agents, pressure, temperature, time and cleaning procedures are the major factors affecting the recoverability of flux.In the research of chemical cleanings for ceramic membrane fouled by brassylic acid fermentation liquor, fouled membranes were cleaned with three different cleaning procedures: one step, two steps and there steps. According to the foulants in brassylic acid fermentation liquor that would foul the membranes and cleaning mechanisms of different agents, six cleaning agents were selected. It has been showed from the experimental results that: 1) One step cleaning, it recoveries the flux of 92.34% after cleaning by 0.5%NaOH at 56℃ and 0.15MPa for 10 minutes. 2) When cleaning was performed in two steps, 0.5%NaOH following 0.25%Na5P3O10 at 28℃ and 0.15MPa for 10 minutes, it increased the flux of 86.48%. 3) When fouled membrane was cleaned by three steps, 0.75%NaClO(1st)+0.5%NaOH (2nd)+0.25%Na5P3O10(3rd) at 28℃, 0.15MPa for 10 minutes, it increased the flux of 94.34%. Considering an economical and simple cleaning scheme, the first one was selected as the cleaning method. In the research of chemical cleanings for ceramic membrane fouled by lactobacillus fermentation, a simple and efficient cleaning scheme was obtained by the experimental results: chemical cleaning of 0.25%NaOH at 0.15MPa, 16℃ after cleaning 10 minutes improved the flux of fermentation by 95.14%.This paper demonstrates the use of a BP neural network to simulate the chemical cleaning of ceramic membrane fouled by L-pheyalanine, and predict the operation...
