So it is imminen that cement industry reduces energy consumption itself, at the same time consumes vast industrial waste residues and turns to green way. The preliminary results of National"973"Program showed that C4A3(S|-) mineral and Portland Cement containing C4A3(S|-) could activate fly ash and slag , especially the former which is generally thought less active than the latter. So this paper presents some technical research on the material containing C4A3 S as activator for high dosage mineral admixture-containing cementing materias,trying to offer technical parameters for producing this material in industry。At first, a new method to measure the quantity of C4A3(S|-) was established a standard procedure for the so called chemical method has been set up. This method solves a problem chronically existing in industial production that people can't accurately measure the quantity of C4A3(S|-) in time . This method has characters of speediness,precision and trustiness. The apparatus used in it has low cost and can be operated easily.In the present work used fly ash and bauxite were used as aluminum to prepare the materials containing C4A3(S|-) mineral. When fly ash as alumina, regardless of the formation of other phases except C4A3 S mineral , that is, on non-eguilibrium condition,the content of C4A3(S|-) in material was less than 5%. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that a lot of anorthite existing in samples influenced the formation of C4A3 S .Another principle was that material containing C4A3 S was prepared by controlling the Alkalinity modulus(Cm) and the Ratio of aluminum to sulfur(P), and the content of C4A3(S|-) in the material can reach 17.33% at most. The SEM of material indicated that C4A3(S|-) was homogeneously nuclearted and well crystallized.
