The flotation model, which based on the assumption that both the froth and pulp phases are completely mixed, has been applied in the industrial process. However, owing to the complexity of the model itself and the assumption that is not always in accordance with the practical process, the application is limited. The Intelligence Control (IC), as a new branch of the modern control theory, has been developed rapidly in recent years, providing a new way of establishing the non-parameter model of the industrial flotation process.In this present paper, the author introduces the artificial neural networks into the modeling of the industrial flotation process, integration information technology, intelligent optimizing method to flotation technology.The relation model between ore character and reagents consumption has been proposed using the ANN based on the industrial lead rougher flotation of lead & zinc ore, and the simulation has been conducted in the laboratory with the results matching the sample data very well. The Flotation Process Intelligent Consultation System of Reagents Consumption, which is suitable for batch test, has been developed.The correlative model in which the flotation index depends on the ore character and reagents consumption has been proposed, and the simulation has been conducted in laboratory with the results matching the samples date very well. The Flotation Process Intelligent Index Prediction System has been developed.
