As a kind of persistent organic pollutants pentachlorophenol (PCP) has become one of the global environmental pollutants.Currently, the main treatment of PCP includes: biological method , fenton reaction photochemical method , electrodeposition, ozone treatment , ultrasonic, metallocene catalysts.Especially for the metallocene catalysts,it's gentle reaction factor , quickly reaction speed , no choise to the retrogradation, obvious effects to organic matter which is difficult to retrogradaty by biological method. Currently, the hotspot research is to find the second generation photocatalytic which can photocatalysis in the Visible light.Because of pentachlorophenol (PCP)'s widely distributed in the water environment, lasting harm to the hunman and environment and the α -Fe2O3 's great ability of photocatalysis in the visible region, it has great important environmental significance of Study on adsorption and photocatalysis of PCP on α-Fe2O3.This paper choose pentachlorophenol (PCP) as our boject of study,such as it's adsorption and photocatalysis on α-Fe2O3.The major study events is as follows: 1.Preparated the α-Fe2O3 by precipitation, characterizated it by BET,IR, XRD and Laser Particle Sizer.Fixed the α-Fe2O3 by Silicone-Acrylic Latices. Preparated the α -Fe2O3 by HTO.Through the hockproof test, the result is that α-Fe2O3 by the HTO not only has easy preparation and stable purity, but also has lower lose weight in the shockproof test.So it can resolve the difficult problem of catalyst fixing effectively. 2.Study on the adsorption kinetics, adsorption isotherm and protonation contants, conclude the mechanism of adsorption by IR. The result is that the ability of electrostatic adsorption is larger than surface complex absorption on α-Fe2O3,and the electrostatic adsorption is main.Langmuir adsorption balance can better describe adsorption of PCP on α -Fe2O3, the mechanism of adsorption may be is that the hydroxyl radical in the atoms of iron in the α-Fe2O3 adsorb with hydroxyl radical of PCP, then do the dehydration .3.study on comparison of formation rate of hydrogen peroxide and ability of photocatalysis in α-Fe2O3/UV/H2O2/PCP, α-Fe2O3/Visible light/H2O2/PCP , α -Fe2O3/UV/PCP and α-Fe2O-3/Visible light/PCP.
