The high cost of bioflocculant preparation and the application limit are blocking the process of the industrial production of bioflocculant. In order to create advanced conditions for industrial production, a research has been conducted on a new kind of bioflocculant-Compounded Bioflocculant (CBF).Method of plate streak was used in separating and purifying F2 and F6 strains.After analyzing the growth curve of F2 and F6 strains, we found that during the exponential phase a large scale of flocculating active substance was accumulated. But during the stationary phase, the flocculation ratio fell down. So we conjectured that flocculating active substance produced by F2 and F6 strains is a kind of extra cellular metabolite.Being with the fine flocculation stability, the strains of F2 and F6 are fit for industrial producing.Extraction of the bioflocculant is a kind of milky and amorphous solid, and the volume of production is 2.24g/L. Purification of the extraction is white cotton-wool solid, the volume of production is 2.06g/L. The flocculating active substance of CBF is bacterial heteropolysaccharide.After blending the CBF with aluminum sulfate, the effect of raw water treatment is better than the effect of exclusive use. Addition amount of bioflocculant was reduced to 1.0mL/L.Optimal addition amounts of bioflocculant and aluminum sulfate were settled, which were 1.0mL/L and 1.5mL/L. When the proportion of bioflocculant and aluminum sulfate is 2:3, we got the satisfied result. After treating raw water by the compounded flocculants, the turbidity of raw water was reduced from 20.0NTU to 0.85 NTU, and removal ratio is 96.7%.
