The competitive ability, to some extent, is enterprise's survivability. Our country is being involved in the big circulation of the world economy more and more deeply, while the economical globalization and the steps of world economy's integration is getting fast increasingly. Therefore, the competition pressure that the enterprise faces today is more and more big. Under such external environment, it appears especially importantly for the enterprises to distinguish their competition status correctly and to appraise the enterprise the competitive ability correctly in order to survive for a longer time. This thesis made a brief review and comment on the present research situation of the related areas both internal and exteral on the bases of fully analysising the value and meaning of the evaluation of enterprise competitive ability. Meanwhile this thesis introduces the Grey System Theory (Grey System Theory hereafter refers to as GST) into the evaluation of enterprise competitive ability based on absorbing the research results of the predecessor. The theory that the thesis applies mainly is Grey Relational Analysis (Grey Relational Analysis hereafter refers to as GRA).Because the factors, which influence enterprise competitive ability, are numerous and complicated, so its evaluation system has the obvious characteristic that information is incomplete. Therefore the enterprise competitive ability evaluation system can be considered as a grey system. This thesis applys Grey Relational Analysis theory, construct an evaluation model with three layers. This model is composed by seven big kinds of 21 indexes. Through the calculation of grey relational coefficient and grey relational grade, finally fulfill the comparative analysis to enterprise's competitive ability. This thesis applied this model to evaluate four leading enterprises's competitive ability, which belonged to the different area, having different production process and adopting the different development pattern. The final result basically conforms to the reality. It should especially point out is that this thesis has substituted for the traditional arithmetic mean with the weighted average in the relational analysising in order to fully consider each evaluating target's difference in its important degree. Such adjustment causes the final result of this thesis tending to be more reasonably, more accurately and has more actual reference value.
