The membrane technology is a novel separate one with high efficiency, economical energy. Inorganic membrane withstanding high temperature has been widely paid great attention in the fields of membrane for recent years, while zeolite composite membranes based on inorganic substrates have predictable advantages, such as satisfactory channels, pore sizes of molecular grade, corrosion-proof, and heat-resistance, etc., whose investigation is of great scientific and realistic significant and whose synthesis and application have emerging as the hotpot in membrane science. The preparation of a novel ZSM-5 zeolite tube-form composition carbon membrane are described in the thesis. Carbon membrane can exhibit many excellent properties, especially fabrication of separation layer, generally exterior surface of the membrane, is very important. Hydrothermal synthesis technique can form ZSM-5 zeolite molecular sieve membrane on the tube-type carbon matrix, which has not been reported to date. A commercially available phenol-formaldehyde resin (PFR) as precursor is treated prior to carbonization by thermo-stabilization in the air at 180℃ for 2 hr, next it is grounded to meet the requirement of particle size in the work. The original support membranes are produced by extruding on the extrusion machine, then they are carbonized in resistance oven in the nitrogen atmosphere at 850℃ for 50min, and the carbon membrane supports are produced, whose exterior and inner diameter of the membrane is 8mm and 6mm, respectively. After that direct in-situ hydrothermal synthesis measure is used to obtain zeolite separation layer on the exterior surface of the carbon membrane. The influences of particle size of PFR, the component of amorphous aluminosilicate precursor and operating conditions, and the settings of hydrothermal synthesis and the ageing on the gas permselectivity of the zeolite membrane are systematically investigated. The gas permselectivity of the composite membrane is characterized by gas permeation device, meanwhile, the structure for it is analysized by modern...
