With application of the new H~2 mould of FTSC production line in Tangshan Iron and Steel Company, it is essential to master movement of shell in mould. To practical product of Tangshan Iron and Steel Company, we constructed a model to simulate shell deformation with elastic-plastic finite element through MSC.Marc.Simulation reveals shell deformation rule and characteristic. The results include following:1. There is largest Low-lying area line at 650 mm away from top mouth of mould, where the crack will appear, moreover, the level distance between crack and width core is 325 mm.2. After shell moves to more than 750 mm away from mould's upper opening without slag, deformation of shell will decrease quickly and Low-lying area line will disappear with strong press of molten steel.3. distribution of Stress and strain are affected by shell shape, and they will gather at the place where mould shape changes rapidly.Compared with practical result of Tangshan Iron and Steel Company, the result proves that the simulation is correct and the model is reliable, moreover, it indicates where the longitudinal crack will appear and how to improve work process, of course, there will be some more important meanings to practical product with more perfect, result...
