Along with the development and integration of the science and technology fields, high precision geometric parameters extraction for object surface has a wide range of applications including reverse engineering, biomedical engineering, computer vision, virtual reality and cultural relic restoration. The measurement method based on structured light projection is an active research field due to its features of non-contact, non-invasive, high precision and high speed. The optical 3D measurement can obtain one field of point cloud data for one measurement due to its optical measuring conditions. This makes the arising of a registration problem for several point cloud data from different viewpoint. In this paper, a rotary 2D measurement system based on structured light projection is developed to measure the objects having rotary features or can be rotary measured. This thesis first introduces the principle of the optical measurement based on triangulation. It analyzes and compares the 3D profile measurement methods based on Gray Code, Phase Shift and their...
