Much attention has been paid to the polyolefin elastomer, which is an emergent-solving problem for flame retardancy to satisfy special environment with high safe. As we all know, the polyolefin composites with inorganic retardant filled have been more and more popular, for which is a kind of safe, nontoxic, halogen-free flame retardant and friendly-environmental polymer material. However, compared with halogen flame retardant, high filler loading (60wt%) is necessary to be effective in flame retardancy, resulting in a significant loss in mechanical properties. In this thesis, the silane crosslinked and flame retardant polyolefin composites have been first prepared with such fire retardant as magnesium hydroxide (MH) high-filled, and then crosslinked in presence of water. The influence of a variety of ingredients on the material's gel content, mechanical and thermal stability properties were firstly studied, such as crosslinking time, VTMS and DCP content. It demonstrates that the ingredients above-mentioned had a great effect on the crosslink of POE,...
