Arsenic is an important poisonous substance for many catalysts, such as Fe-based catalysts for synthetic ammonia, Ni-based catalysts for hydrogenation and methanation, Pt-based catalysts for catalytic reforming, Co-Mo based catalysts for hydrotreationg process and polypropylene catalysts, which could be poisoned permanently by arsenic. Therefore, it is practically and theoretically significant to develop new dearsenic catalysts.Firstly, the relative informations were perused, and the kinds of dearsenic catalysts and the dearsenic mechanism were also introduced in detail. After this, many dearsenic catalysts for different purposes were prepared, and their performance were evaluated. It was found that the dearsenic catalysts showed good dearsenic performance for coal gas, propylene and liquid hydrocarbon, and their dearsenic conversion was over 95%, even 99% at middle temperature. In the present work, the dearsenic catalysts used for C4 feeds were mainly studied. The influence of preparation conditions on the properties of dearsenic catalysts were investigatd systemically, and a new dearsenic catalyst, SBS-03, was developed. The proper preparation conditions of SBS-03 dearsenic catalyst were as follows: Na2CO3 solution as precipitator, Cu(CH3COO)2 and Zn(CH3COO)2 as metallic precursors, pH≈7.2, temperature 70-90℃, aging time≤120min and calcinations temperature≤350℃. Under the reaction conditions of 1.0~1.2MPa, normal temperature, space velocity of 3 h-1 and C4 feeds containing arsenic of 1500ppb, the dearsenic conversion of SBS-03 was over 99%, which was superior to the commercial ones and showed a promising future.
