SnO2 is a kind of broad spectrum gas sensitivity material, it can be used to examine each kind of gas which virulent, harmful and ignitable, has the extremely broad applied prospect. The preparation of nano particles made by sol-gel method, has the advantage of stable technics, the good repetition, may product volume, and so on. In the paper, I prepared nanometer SnO2 powder and the SnO2 thin film using the sol-gel method preparation.This paper research the preparation techincs of SnO2 powder and the thin film preparation technics through adjusting technics parameters, react solution concentration, PH value and sintered temperature, and so on. And using X-Ray diffraction analysis, the transmission electron microscope, the scanning electron microscope, and so on, separately to characterize the appearance, the grain-size distribution, the crystal phase composition of nanometer SnO2 powder as well as the SnO2 thin film superficial appearance carries on the attribute.The TG-DSC analysis result indicated that, when the temperature achieved 330℃, SnO2 transforms the amorphous state into the sole square rutile phase structure.It can Uses prepare SnO2 powder with square rutile phase structure, average grain size 10-50nm the sol-gel method, through adjusting technics parameters, solution consistency, PH value as well as sintering temperature.XRD and the TEM analysis result indicated, when other technological conditions invariable, prepares SnO2 powder using the different consistency SnCl4 solution, its grain size reduces along with the solution consistency increase. But responded the solution the PH value change, has the influence to the sol formation and the sol-gel transformation, is not big influence to the grain size of SnO2 powder.The SnO2 powder grain size obviously increases along with the sintering temperature rise. With the other technics parameter is invariable, the sinteringtemperature from 400℃increases to 800℃, the average grain size of SnO2 powder increases from 10 to 50 nm along with the sintering temperature enhance, It can cause nano particles transform from the soft reunion to the hard reunion.We can prepare SnO2 thin film of nanometer crystal structure using the pulling-droping method. The SEM analysis result indicated, solution consistency increase can cause the thin film the ratio surface area to increase. The thin film surface grain size obviously increases along with the sintering temperature ascension. The thin film surface can become more smooth,compacter along with the times of pulling number increase.
