Drawbench winding is an important tache in producing fiberglass, while the tension control is the key of the winding technology. It not only affects the quality of the winding products per se, but also the quality of the following process. Therefore, the tension control system is one of the necessary assistant equipment during the production of fiberglass. Here, the paper means to establish a tension control system of drawbench based on DCS to attain precision control.Based on the comprehensive analysis to tension control of domestic and foreign, by analyzing the method of tension control and produce of tension, a kind of closed-loop tension control system is brought up by this thesis. It selects PC as the main controller, three-phase asynchronous motor as the tension actuator, liner CCD image sensor as the measuring part.Through analyzing the theory tension control system, the mathematic models of three-phase asynchronous motor and auto-adapted PID controller of single neuron are introduced.Because tension control system is a non-linear system with the characteristics of multi-inputs, coupling and time variable, the satisfactory control effect can hardly be attained form tension system designed with conventional control theory. While the neural network control system has the characteristics of independence on the mathematical model of the controlled object and the adaptive to any indefinite system, the theory of auto-adapted PID controller based on single neuron is derived.Finally, we utilize DCS to integrate this system. Meanwhile, make relative setting, programming and configuration to this inspect system using project manager SunyTech of Zhongzi Co., Zhejiang University.Compared with other conventional control method, this set of control system can attain more precise control on tension of glass fiber.
