Recent years, the production of hot-rolled narrow strip steel increased rapidly. However, this kind of products stands the place with low price and disordered marketing competition. As a result, it is the high time to advance the producing technologies, adjust product structure rationally, improve product quality and explore new applying domain. This paper provide a new rolling method i.e. Asymmetry induced spreading with which the narrow strip steel with more-width is produced using 150×150mm billet. With the new method, the work piece will go through a set of inequal big deformation to get more spread.Based on a number of experiments and deep researches about asymmetry induced spreading theories, this paper design a suit of pass to produce the narrow stripe steel with more-width and come into being the asymmetry induced spreading theory. The main researching productions were shown as following: (1) successfully producing the narrow stripe steel with more-width using the new method;(2)researching the internal mechanism of spread including the proportion and position of uneven deforming domain based on plenty of experiments and forming the asymmetry induced spreading theory, furthermore, redesign pass system and rolling technics, integrating the advantages of flat rolling restricting spread and theory and asymmetry induced spreading theory to make workerpiece achieve the requirements of finished products after going through unregulated deformation and a set of big spread; (3)Researching and analyzing systemically wear mechanism and wear rules, consequently, decreasing obviously the abrasion of rolls through advancing rolls materials, adjusting cooling system and utilizing additional compensation technologies.(4)Around the special requirements of entrance guiding equipments of asymmetry induced spreading, solving the difficulties of unsteability, red-hot nature, wear-resisting property during the rolling period by the compound technologies and developing a set of new guiding technologies.
