In this paper , the weldability and abrasive resistance of several surfacing electrodes have been analysed. The results demonstrate that surfacing electrodes with chromium have better abrasive resistance, but worse weldability and that the hardness and abrasive resistance of electrodes with midium and high carbon equality can be eguivalent to that of the former when oppropriate types of carbide are obtained on martensite matrix. The analysis also idicates that Mn( Manganese) contributes a lot of the improving of abrasive resistance of surfacing electrodes. By the hardening test,impact wearing test and the microstructure analysis, SEM analysis ,mechanical properties respectively analysis of welded joint, the welding method of 45Mn steel was determined. It is shown that the deformation twinning hardening and the dynamic carbide ageing are main forms of the strengthening of A302 and D256 welded alloy, and the chisel cutting is main form of wearing off of the hardface mental.The method supplies particular welding technology.
