This thesis consists of the following three parts:The first part is review containing two chapters. In the first chapter, the development of copper catalysis in cross-coupling reactions is briefly introduced. Due to their low price and toxicity, copper salts have recently emerged as novel catalysts in cross-coupling reactions, whose replacement of toxic and expensive Pd or Ni catalysts will greatly improve the chemical industry in both the economic and environmental aspects. The second chapter introduces the applications and the development of ferrocene and its derivatives. For the particularity of its structure and the stability of chemical property, ferrocene has been a hot work in their multi - applications in recent years. The second part is the study on the synthesis of novel ferrocenyl derivatives. With in the presence of Cu(PPh3)2NO3, the Sonogashira coupling reaction provides a facile and convenient route for the synthesis of 1-ferrocenyl-2-arylacetylenes. In the protocol, we synthesize ferrocenyl compounds using Cu(PPh3)2NO3 instead of traditional Pd/Cu catalyst. We employed 2-methyl-4-ferrocenyl-3-butyn-2-ol as acetylene source which can be easily obtained from low-cost materials. The feasibility of our work has significant practical and economical value from a cost and throughput standpoint. All those mentioned compounds have been determined by 1HNMR, 13CNMR, FAB and IR.The third part is the study on the synthesis of Cefonicid sodium. Cefonicid sodium is the cephalosporin which has potent antibacterial activity against both Gram positive and Gram negative organisms.
