Ball mill is one of the most important milling devices in industry. With great noises, its large energy was wasted and had a low efficiency. Its weakness is very outstanding. one is the high consume powder electricity, it is difficult to measure the material level, automatic control system can not be long-term used. In order to improve its running stability, economy and efficiency, to save energy, to protect the device, we should make it work in its optimum working state. This article analyzes the ball mill's work principle and the measurement. Designing a testing system of measuring the ball mill's level using vibration method.This article completes hardware design and software of system, according to the principle of vibration method. Accelerometer can accept the two vibration signals of perpendicularity and level, voltage follows machine carries on the conversion of the high and low resistance. The electric voltage signal is send to AD, it is high-speed, multi-channel, 14-bit data acquisition systems. Micro controller unit controls collecting the data of the system, and transmit data into the PC. The PC adopts VB language. It can keep the data in a piece form, also can adjust to the software of MATLAB for curve's draw up to match. The data analytical adopts MATLAB software, including numerical filter, area statistic analysis and the error data to pick up, and carrying on data's draw up to match to the experiment, and comparing the result. This design system can collect two vibration signals of direction at the same time, more credible than one direction; The passages can expand, it can sample to many parameters at the same time such as output power, wind velocity, electric current and the speed of material entering to engineering. It can assure data credibility.First, it elaborates whole way of thinking of the system design, then discusses the technique detail of each mold, carries on the summary to the work in the end, and puts forward the suggestion to the work of further demand.
