The ordered mesoporous carbon possess large surface areas, narrow pore size distributions, ordered structures, showing great potential in chemical engineering, biomedical applications and environment protection, and therefore have attracted considerable attention. We used TEOS (tetraethyl orthosilicate) as organosiloxane precursor and a triblock copolymer surfactant P123 as template, with the addition of sucrose as carbon source into the channels of calcined mesoporous silica SBA-15 and directly carbonized in the channels of SBA-15. When the template silica walls were removed, we obtained the ordered mesoporous carbon CMK-3. The obtained ordered mesoporous carbon samples were characterized by XRD, TEM, N2 adsorption–desorption and FT-TR.In this paper, the ordered mesoporous carbon modified electrode has been fabricated by combining nanotechnique with electrochemical method. Besides, the ordered mesoporous carbon modified electrode is taken into the study on neurotransmitter and environmental.Firstly, fabrication of the ordered mesoporous carbon modified electrode and its application in electrocatalyzing dopamine (DA) are studied. The modified electrode was proved to have electrocatalytical effect on the electrochemical response of dopamine (DA) and the oxidation peak current of DA increases obviously. The result shows that it also can eliminate the interference of ascorbic acid (AA) and then DA can be determined selectively, and the result is satisfied with us. The proposed modified electrode showed good sensitivity, reproducibility, stability and recovery for the determination of DA. Besides, the catalytic mechanism is discussed primarilySecondly, the electroreduction performance and mechanism of nitrobenzene on the ordered mesoporous carbon modified electrode in phosphate buffer solution (PBS) are studied in detail through different types of techniques such as Cyclic Voltammery (CV) and Linear Sweep Voltammetry (LSV). The modified electrode was proved to have electrocatalytical effect on the electrochemical response of nitrobenzene (NB). The cathodic peak of NB shifted towards positive potential and the reduction peak current increases obviously. The results showed that the NB anodic peak current and the concentration had a linear relationship in the range of 2.0×10-5- 2.9×10-3 mol/L in pH 7.0 phosphate buffer solution.
