The problem of serial port communication is of widespread concern in the engineering. In this paper, for the demand of All-Electric Plate Vulcanization Machine control system, a method on how to design serial communication based on dialog box frame of VC++ 6.0 by using convenient MSComm control and the technology on how to develop watch software for AC asynchronous servo controller making use of the method are introduced. In upper machine module, with ActiveX technique MSComm in Visual C ++6 .0 programming under Microsoft Windows platform, PC realizes serial port asynchronous communication with AC asynchronous servo controller. The PC and the servo controller are connected through RS-232 bus. Watch software passes parameters to servo controller via control spot equipments and reads information of spot equipments controlled with servo controller via serial interface. The dynamic data includes: mould temperature, mould pressure, motor rotate speed and so on. The control order includes: the way of start-up, the motor start and stop, the direction of motor rotation, the spot moves and the heat up of mould and so on. In order to get over instability of serial communication and assure stability of watch software for long time, a dependable measure for dealing with serial communication data and its flow chart are practically given. After prudential designing and repeat debugging, we worked out a set of experiment control system on All-Electric Plate Vulcanization Machine. The characters of this system are high degree of automation, simple for operation, wide scope of application and multi-purpose interface. Repeat testing and analyzing under different types of experiment conditions proved this system as a set of precise, high efficient, automatic system.
