| Chitosan is a natural cationic polysaccharide. As a biocompatible and slowly degrading polymer, chitosan has been widely used in drug delivery systems especially in drug-controlled release, targeting, and intellectualized delivery systems.A microemulsion is defined as a mono-dispersed system of water, oil and surfactant, which is a single - phase, isotropic and thermodynamically stable liquid solution. It provides a superior template and microenvironment for preparing ultrafine particles and the shape and size of such particles can be effectively controlled in microemulsions. The template technique is one of the best methods of fabricating hollow particles. In this thesis, different templates, including CaCO3,SiO2,F127 and oil droplets, were employed to prepare hollow chitosan microspheres in various emulsion systems. Chitosan hollow microspheres and chitosan microspheres by template technique and emulsion method were successfully prepared. We also study the reaction condition including the influence of chitosan concentration, reaction temperature,W/O,SDS weight and so on. |
