A serial of conjugated polymers with varieties of carbazole rings and pyridazine, such as Poly[3,6-(-N-pentylcarbazole)-3,6-pyridazine],have been synthesized on the bases of others research work. The corresponding polymers have been prepared through nickel(II) complexes catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. monomers and polymer were characterized by 1H-NMR, FT-IR, UV, and its fluorescent spectroscopy, XRD and thermal analysis was also discussed.(1)Polymers containing carbazole and pyridazine units were prepared utilizing nickel(II) complexes catalysed cross-coupling reactions. The copolymers werecharacterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. The UV-vis spectra of the copolymers in DMF showed two absorption peaks at 270 nm and 300 nm, respectively, and a shoulder peak around 350 nm. Electrochemical activity was also discussed by means of cyclic voltammogram methods. Photoluminescence and crystallinity of this copolymer was initially discussed using PL and XRD analyses.(2)New alternativeπ-conjugated copolymer were obtained by nickel(Ⅱ) complex catalysed polycondensation of N,N′-dichloro-phenoquinon ediimine with 3,6-dichloropyridine Grignard reagents. The monomer and copolymer were characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR and its UV-Vis,DTA,XRD analysis was also discussed. The TGA result indicated that polymer began to decompose above 215℃, showing good heat stability.(3)Azobenzene derivatives 4,4'-diiodoazobenzene was prepared using aniline as initial material. The structure of this compound was characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. The UV-vis spectra of the compound in CHCl3 showed two absorption peaks at 350 nm and 420 nm, respectively. It has been observed that 4,4'-diiodoazobenzene was quite sensitive to acids. When CF3COOH and CH3SO3H were added to chloroform solution, the acidichromism was observed that the absorption characteristics substantially changed. This compound was also showed trans-to-cis photoisomerization upon irradiation of ultraviolet lights.(4)A new typeπ-Conjugated copolymers were obtained by the polymerization of 4,4'-diiodoazobenzene Grignard reagents and 2,5-dibromothiophene, 2,5-dibromo-1,4-bis (propyloxy)benzene through nickel(II) complexes catalyzed cross-coupling reactions respectively. Both monomers and polymer were characterized by 1H-NMR, FT-IR, and its UV, fluorescent spectroscopy, XRD and thermal analysis was also discussed. We have obse rved that the copolymer was quite sensitive to acids and the acidichromism behavior was investigated applying organic acids such as CF3COOH and CH3SO3H. The polymers can emit very strong fluorescence.(5)Polymers containing aniline and benzothiadiazole units were prepared and characterized by 1H-NMR, FT-IR, and its UV, fluorescent spectroscopy, XRD and thermal analysis was also discussed.
