Stilbene derivatives are the most widely studied two-photon absorption materialsbecause of their large electron delocalization, high photoluminescence quantum yield,and good thermal and chemical stabilities. In this dissertation, seven new stilbenecompounds and one kind of novel hybrid molecules containing stilbene weresynthesized and characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 29Si-NMR, and their thermalproperties, optical properties were investigated. The main contents of this thesisinclude the following points:1. The development, categories and application of the two-photon absorptionmaterials were reviewed in detail.2. Seven stilbene derivatives were synthesized, and their structures werecharacterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and EA(elemental analysis).3. The thermal properties of the seven objective compounds were studied withDSC (Differential scanning calorimetry) techniques, and the effects of themolecular structure on the thermal properties were discussed.4. The UV-vis absorption and PL(photoluminescence) spectra of the seven objectivecompounds in THF were investigated. The two-photon experimental results showthat the compounds possess large two-photon absorption cross-section.5. Three other stilbene derivatives with a terminal allyloxy functional group and akind of novel POSS based hybrid macromolecules containing stilbene were alsosynthesized, and their structures were characterized by FF-IR, 1H-NMR and29Si-NMR.6. The thermal and optics properties of monomer and macromolecule were studied.The results show that the heat stability of macromolecule are better thanmonomer.
