Nowadays, the effect of pharmacoeconomics on the drug pricing is increasing in developed countries. It can be proved by the following two facts. Firstly, more and more insurance agencies demand the pharmaceutical manufacturers to submit pharmacoeconomic evaluation information for a drug to enter the drug formulary for compensation. Secondly, more and more guidelines of pharmacoeconomic evaluation are issued both in the developed and developing countries. As a result of many unreasonable factors in the procedure of the drug pricing in China, this study will demonstrate the details in the procedure of drug pricing by pharmacoeconomics on the basis of the pricing methods applied both in developed countries and China.Recently, accidents frequently happened in the infusion products market. These accidents are partly ascribed to the bad infusion packaging because the packaging play a vital role in maintaining the clinic effectiveness of the infusion products. So, if we can price the infusion packaging reasonably reflecting their quality and categories under the current economic situations in China, the resource would be flowed to the packaging products with higher quality and superior categories, which can facilitate the development of infusion industry. So, this study prices the basic infusion products according to drug pricing theory, and then obtains the differential prices for infusion packaging with different categories.Because of the objective and subjective limitations, there are many uncertain factors in this study, detailed analysis are given to call the decision-makers' attentions. Additionally, how to obtain the differential prices for non-basic infusion products and typical packaging with different quality? Some suggestions are given in the end of this study.
