With development of economy, much heavy metal polluter inflow soil and pollute environment and soil, and endanger human being health and continual development. Therefore, the situation of heavy metal polluter and distributing rule is worthy studying.This paper deals with status of eight heavy metals(Cu,Zn,Pb,Cd,Cr,Ni,As and Hg)in the soil from high yield area,orchard,new-born wetland in Shandong provinces and environmental quality evaluation of soils. The result of the investigation indicates that:the soil from high yield area and new-born wetland is alkaline-strongly alkaline;the soil from orchard is neutral-acidic;the organic matter content in the soil from high yield area and orchard is widespread low;The concent of heavy metals are different in the soils of different function areas,The concent of Cu in orchard soil is respective different from that in soil from high yield area and new-born wetland;There are respective difference in aspect of Zn,Cd among soils of different function areas;The concent of Pb in high yield area soil is respective different from that in orchard soil;The concent of Ni in new-born wetland soil is respectively different from that in high yield area soil;The concent of Cr in new-born wetland soil is respective different from that in soil from high yield area and orchard。The evaluation standard is natural background values and the Environmental quality standard for soils - GB15618 - 1995.The Single Pollution Index and Nemerow Synthetical Pollution Index have been adapted to evaluate the environmental quality evaluation of soils. The results show that the single pollution index is very low ,most of the regional soils do not exceeded the quality standard by using Environmental quality standard for soils as evaluation standard,5% of the whole high yield area samples is watchful,95% of the samples is safe;3.57% of the whole orchard samples is low-grade polluted,10.71% of the samples is watchful,85.71% of the samples is safe;12.80% of the whole new-born wetland samples is watchful,85.50% of the samples is safe. By using natural background values as evaluation standard ,the single pollution index of Cd,Hg,Cu,As,Ni,Cr in high yield area is high ;the single pollution index of Cd,Hg,Cu,Ni in orchard is high; the single pollution index of Cd,Hg,Cu,Cr in new-born wetland is high ,it indicated that the concent of the heavy metals change obviously during the 20 years.
