This dissertation includes two parts. The first chapter is about the applications of ionic liquids in organic chemistry. The second chapter is about the synthesis and the applications of the functional ionic liquids. In chapter one:Firstly, the properties, compositions, preparations and applications of the ionic liquids were reviewed. Then, we studied the synthesis of vinyl bromides from reaction ofα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids with ionic liquid [bmim][Br3]/[bmim]Br, this synthetic procedure is straightforward and simple, and the reaction condition is mild. Besides, we provided a novel and efficient synthetic way of vinyl sulfones, which is catalyzed by CuI/L-proline potassium salt in ionic liquid, servered as both base and ligand, gives the corresponding vinyl sulfones in good yields. In chapter two:Firstly, we summarized the compositions, preparations and applications of the task-specific ionic liquids. Then, we reported the synthesis of two kinds of task-specific ionic liquids composed of imidazolinium or pyridinium cation with carboxy group and hydrogensulfate, and they had been applicated in oxidation of olefins. The carbonyl compounds were obtained from the oxidation of chain olelfins and 1, 2-cycloalkandiols were obtained from cycloalkenes in the novel oxidation systems which were easily manipulated. The products can be easily isolated from the reaction system and the ILs can readily be recovered and reused. The last, we tried to synthesize a kind of functional ionic liquid from natural amino acid---proline.
