Ferocene-based organometallic polymer is a new class of functional materials.The organometallic polymers which cotain ferrocene unit with better dielectricconstant,well heat resisting property,special rheological behaviour and stability tomost chemistry reagents can be used as catalyst,photosensitizer,heat resistingmaterial,conductor and semiconductor,antiradiation materials etc. All kinds ofpolymers containing ferrocenyl have extensive application prospects.In this paper, 2,2-bisferrocenylpropane is obtained from ferrocene and acetone.6-acetyl bisferrocenylpropane and 6,6'-bisacetyl bisferrocenylpropane have beenprepared by the Friedal-Craffs reaction. 6-vinyl bisferrocenylpropane,6,6'-bisvinyl bisferrocenylpropane,6-isopropenyl bisferrocenylpropane,6-(α-benzenevinyl) bisferrocenylpropane are obtained from 6-acetylbisferrocenylpropane and 6,6'-bisacetyl bisferrocenylpropane. And the condition ofpolymerization,properties of homopolymers,copolymers are studied elementarily.The compositions and structures of these compounds and polymers werecharacterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra and ~1HNMR spectra. The polymerswere also characterized by DTA-TG spectra. The synthesis condition and appropriatematerial ratio were also confirmed.
