The sound-insulated capability of woven-fabric is researched by testing method in the paper. First of all, we has developed the fabric sound-insulated capability testing device based on the Virtins Sound Card, then gathered three series 42 pieces raw materials of different thickness, different weight and different tightness from the market. At last all the materials are carried on a lot of monochromatic tests at eight audible frequencies (500Hz~4000Hz), and the decrement rate of root-mean-square value of voltage is used to reflect the fabric the sound-insulated capability.The testing device developed in the experiment provides the effective testing method, for studying the fabric sound-insulated capability, the application method is simple, the result could demonstrate fast, and the testing precision achieves the research request. The installment maintainability is good, has continuing use value.After analyzing and discussing the result of testing, we obtain the following conclusion:â‘ The fabric sound-insulated capability has the obvious frequency selection characteristic, the same fabric has dissimilar sound-insulated effect to the different frequency sound wave, fabric's sound-insulated effect to 500Hz sound wave is very bad, but to the intermediate frequency sound waves the sound-insulated effect is good.â‘¡The loose woven fabric is pore material, its sound-insulated capability effects by the friction between the fabric internal air and the internal fibers which generated heat energy, the internal air that brings the high frequency sound wave weak, as well as the irregular reflection on the uneven surface to the sound wave.â‘¢There is high relation between fabric acoustic insulation capability and structures properties of these fabrics which have fabric thickness(mm), the weight per square mete(rg/m2), and cover tightness(%).â‘£Imitated- Suede-Nap air permeability and the fabric's sound-insulated capability exist a linear relationship. And when the ventilation quantity gets smaller, the fabric sound-insulated capability increases gradually to the reduce of air permeability.The above findings have the practical significance and the reference value to understand fabric sound-insulated mechanism, as well as to further study and develop fabrics with good sound-insulated performance.
