Polymer has been applied extensively to electrical insulation. Study on the nano-materials has been in ascendant. The nano-materials have been widely used in all fields of our production and living. As a new product, the composite materials of organic and inorganic nano-doped are interested greatly. The inorganic nano-doped polyimide has improved the characteristics of pure polyimide in heat-resistance, voltage-resistance, machine, chemical, radiation- resistance, and ageing-resistance and so on, and the application fields were greatly expanded.Thermally stimulated current(TSC), which are acted as a kind of tools to study structures of trap, the store and transport of the space charge control by the trap and structure transformation and molecule motions of polymer material. It has been applied extensively on polymeric prosperity test.At first, the classic TSC theory was introduced. Based on the theory, the previous TSC measuring equipment for polymers which was a console program and the key instrument for which was a Keithley 617 type electrometer was improved. But unlucky! This electrometer was off-line and the linear temperature controller work well no longer. It is urgently to research a new TSC measuring system. Then, a TSC measuring system which was a Visual C++ MFC program and the key instrument was a Keithley 6517A type electrometer was made. Meanwhile, a new linear temperature controller was designed. This system meets the TSC test requirement. Some other merits also hold by this system, such as high precision, easy performance, convenient and so on. If some instruments were introduced to this system, it also can test electroluminescence (TL), photo-luminescence (PL) and so on.The prosperities of several polyimid films also studied in this paper by new TSC measuring system. Some elementary analysis results were got as following: 1.It was found that when the doped weight content reach 12.5wt%, the peak value in the TSC spectrum was highest by study TSC prosperity of Al2O3 nano-particle doped polyimid; 2. Compared two SiO2 nano- particle doped polyimid films, it found that the TSC amplitude of aged film deduced dramatically and the TSC peak values were unchanged.
