At present, the modified atmosphere package (MAP) is the most widespread used technology for keeping fruit and vegetable freshness in the domestic and abroad. However use this technology to pack fruit and vegetable will meet the problems, one of which is the permeability of package material can't meet the fruit and vegetable's demand. So to develop a new kind package material is very necessary. While micro-perforated film by its excellent permeability and inexpensive processing cost obtains widespread attention among the people. Research on mechanism and application of fruit and vegetable in modified atmosphere package with micro-perforated film is very significant.This article emphatically conducts the research to the theory and the application of the micro-perforated film on MAP. The concrete content can be divided into four parts:Firstly, the research about modeling the gas exchange in micro-perforated film pack. Through the analysis the ventilation mechanism of pinhole and the gas environment inside and outside the micro-perforated film pack, modeling the gas exchange in micro-perforated film pack (separately under the rigid pack and soft pack). Use the data of the rigid pack experiments and other scholar's empirical datum to validate the models. It showed that the data from Knudsen diffusion model and experiments were similar.Secondly, measure and token the respiration rate of mushroom and strawberry. Use the close method to measure the respiration rate of mushroom and strawberry. Choose the suitable model, and then token it. Compare the experiments date with the model date. The result are discovered that the two data comparisons tallies.Thirdly, the research on modeling the gas exchange in modified atmosphere package with micro-perforated film which contains fruit and vegetable. According to the micro-perforated film pack model and respiration model, modeling the gas exchange based on Knudsen diffusion in modified atmosphere package with micro-perforated film which contains fruit and vegetable. Use the data of mushroom and strawberries experiments to validate the models. The results showed that the data from model and experiments were similar.Fourthly, the design of MAP with micro-perforated film. Analyze the main design factors and confirm the main design content. Basing on the design method and former experiments, design the MAP with micro-perforated film for mushroom.
