A mass of phosphorus gypsum was brought when the phosphate fertilizer wasproduced by a chemical plant in Yidu city, Hubei province. The phosphorus gypsum wasadded up to 2.55×10~6 t almostly between January, 2003 and March, 2005 in the SanbanLake village, and it was piled up to 5.0×10~3 t per day after more phosphate fertilizer wasproduced in the chemical plant. A large scale of land was stacked and the entironmentwas polluted by the phosphorus gypsum. In order to settle these problems, a reclamationresearch was setted up. Using a practical field experiment, a green house pottedexperiment and a 30-day leaching experiment, this paper studied the reclamation on thephosphorus gypsum, which aim to liberate the stacked land. The main results of the research were as follow:1. The crops vegetated well in the reclaimed land. Two breed of corns growed up to snuffin the reclaimed land, and the yield level was higher than the farmland. The potted rapeand wheat to earth up 60cm growed well, and the yield level was higher than thetreatrnens to earth up 20cm and 40cm natability.2. The crops vegetated safely in the reclaimed land. The quality of the seed that gained inthe reclaimed land and the potted experiment were tally with the national food qualitycriterion. The heavy metals pollution of crops mostly come forth in the root and leaf.3. It's a appropriate ply for the covering soil to earth up 60cm. The covering soil couldsupply enough nutrition for the crops growth, and nutrient condition was amelioratedrapidly by fertilization.4. It's a secure ply for the covering soil to earth up 60cm. The covering soil was accordwith the environmental quality standard for soils, the heavy metals weren't aggrandizedin the covering soil.5. The dissociated acid of phosphorus gypsum could influenced the pH value of thecovering soil. The acidity of the soil could be improved by employing calcareousness.
