In this paper, according to principles of molecular design, Cu(Ⅱ),Zn(Ⅱ), Co(Ⅱ) and Ni(Ⅱ) were selected as templates, and [2-(2′- pyridyl)benzimidazolyl]biphenyl (Bmbp) and 1,3,5-tris[2-(2′-pyridyl)benzim- -idazolyl]benzene (Tmb) as building blocks. Some new polymeric complexes were synthesized, and their structures, fluorescence properties, electrical and properties were investigated. The contents are following:1 Choose an appropriate synthesis route, two nitrogen ligands, [2-(2′- pyridyl)benzimidazolyl]biphenyl (Bmbp) and 1,3,5-tris[2-(2′-pyridyl)benzim- -idazolyl]benzene (Tmb) have been synthesized. Nitrogen ligands have been characterized by IR, NMR and elementary analysis.2 Ligands Bmbp and Tmb reacts with copper ion or zinc ion, respectively, four new polymeric complexes have been synthesized. After being characterized by a series of instrument analysis, they have been confirmed as polymers. Their fluorescence properties in state and in solution have been researched, there are some blue emission in state. The differences between some ligand and some metal ion have been compared. From thermal stability, the polymer should be a potential fluorescent-emitted material.3 Ligands Bmbp and Tmb reacts with nickel ion or cobalt ion, respectively, four new polymeric complexes have been synthesized. After being characterized by a series of instrument analysis, they have been confirmed as polymers. The conductance measurements indicated that they have better conductivity. Their electrochemical properties were measured by CV, the results indicated that there are two steps one-electronic redox, and they are irreversible in solution. Thermal properties measurement and analysis shows that they have good thermal stabilities.
