Pancreatin is a mixture of various enzymes that is an important export leechdom of our biochemical pharmacy. In pancreatin the cadmium which is very poisonous to human body has bad influence on officinal value and export opportunity of pancreatin. Therefore, this study is of great economic and theoretical significance. It can both ensure the quality of pancreatin and help our products to enter the European market. In the same time, it can provide a new method and idea that is for the removal of heavy metal from the similar biochemical products. The purpose of this study is to combine the production and the market demand to find a low-cost, high-efficiency method that is removing cadmium in pancreatin. In this study, Complexation was used to remove cadmium from pancreatin. According to the production demand, three self-made water-soluble complexing agents were selected through the experiment: HCA-1, HCA-2 and HCA-3. The effects of the complexing agent's adding time, mass, the pH value, the reaction time and the ion exchange resin on cadmium removing ratio and the remained pancreatin activity ratio were also studied. In this study, acid digestion was used to prepare samples, and flame atomic absorption spectrometry was used to measure them. The experiment shows the results are accurate and reliable. The pancreatin activity was determined by the standard methods of European Pharmacopoeia. In this study, cadmium removing process with existing production process was integrated together. The new process which added complexing agent after the activation period was the same to the existing production process except changing water mass to 100 % of the pancreas mass. The result shows that the pH value is lower the removing ratio of cadmium in pancreatin is higher and the remained pancreatin activity ratio is lower. And the complexing agent's mass is higher the removing ratio of Cadmium in pancreatin is higher and the remained pancreatin activity ratio is lower. And the reaction time is longer the removing ratio of cadmium in pancreatin is higher and the remained pancreatin activity ratio is lower.Through the experiment it can be confirmed that the optimal mass of HCA-1 is 0.8 % of the pancreas mass, and the optimal pH value is 6.0 and the optimal reaction time is 1 h. In the conditions above, the cadmium removing ratio can reach 23.4 % and the remained activity ratio of amylopsin can reach 82.7 % and the remained activity ratio of pancrelipase can reach 107.7 % and the remained activity ratio of trypsin can reach 100.5 %.Through the experiment it can be confirmed that the optimal mass of HCA-2 is 3 % of the pancreas mass, and the optimal pH value is 6.8 and the optimal reaction time is 1 h. In the conditions above, the cadmium removing ratio can reach 71.1% and the remained activity ratio of amylopsin can reach 102.6 % and the remained activity ratio of pancrelipase can reach 100.1% and the remained activity ratio of trypsin can reach 99.2 %.Through the experiment it can be confirmed that the optimal mass of HCA-3 is 0.75 % of the pancreas mass, and the optimal pH value is 5.0 and the optimal reaction time is 2 h. In the conditions above, the cadmium removing ratio can reach 32.0 % and the remained activity ratio of amylopsin can reach 81.7 % and the remained activity ratio of pancrelipase can reach 93.9 % and the remained activity ratio of trypsin can reach 91.2 %.For HCA-1, with the strong base anion exchange resin, the cadmium removing ratio can be raised to 54.9 % and the remained activity ratio of amylopsin can reach 84.2 % and the remained activity ratio of pancrelipase can reach 98.1% and the remained activity ratio of trypsin can reach 100.3 %. For HCA-3, with the strong base anion exchange resin, the cadmium removing ratio can be raised to 57.5 % and the remained activity ratio of amylopsin can reach 81.6 % and the remained activity ratio of pancrelipase can reach 93.8 % and the remained activity ratio of trypsin can reach 99.1%.The result shows that the Complexation is feasible for the removal of cadmium in pancreatin. And all of the complexing agents in this study can remove the cadmium in pancreatin. It shows a better removal result that using HCA-2 only or using HCA-1 or HCA-3 with the strong base anion exchange resin.
