Since the period of 10th five year, some lava reservoirs have been developed successively, such as block of Huang shatuo, Ou601, Xiao33, Xiao35 and Tuo33 and so on. But some problems that need urgent solution still exist in the developing of the reservoir in the last few years. For example, fast edge water incursion and bottom water-coning, rapid water-cut rising and production rater declining, serious subsurface disposal voidage and reservoir degasification and formation pressure depletion since over a long period of time with the development of the natural energy. So the lava reservoir engineering integrated study should be carried out in order to realize the development mode transition. Firstly the fine reservoir description is developed. On the basis of the further recognition of reservoir formation and structure and with the combination of logging recognition, seismic data fine interpretation, reservoir inversion technologies and so on, the reservoir recognition and prediction is achieved and finally the 3-D visual geological model is established. In order to recognize the fracture dual-porosity reservoir filtration theorem, physical simulation research is implemented. Reservoir comprehensive evaluation is also carried out to master the development feature of volcanic reservoir. Based on the characteristics of geological and development, Horizontal well placement and feasibility study of water flooding are carried out. The parameters of horizontal wells and water injection mode are demonstrated by means of reservoir numerical simulation. Finally development mode transition is achieved by means of scheduling the flooding pattern and developing water flooding development mode with the combination of straight well and horizontal, better effect is achieved by means of field conduct. Production capacity construction pressure in the period of 10th five year will be remitted for the project, which would contribute to the tapping of the residual recoverable reserves and increasing the oil output, accelerating further improvement of the development effect and exploitation level in Liaohe oil-field. Successful experience that may be used for home and abroad reservoir transition development mode of the same kind would also be supplied.
