The flocculants are the key of flocculation-sedimentation. The synthesis conditions of two excellent inorganic particulate flocculants NSAFMnS and NFAC synthesized with silicon, aluminum and iron sol and two excellent polyquaternary salt flocculants PEFD and PEM/AM synthesized with epichlorohydrin, amines and acrylamide had been optimized. Their flocculation performance, intrinsic viscosity and charge density were tested. On this base, a series of inorganic particulate and organic polymer composite flocculants had been synthesized with NSAFMnS, NFAC, PEFD, FEM/AM and three kinds of commercial polyacrylamides (CPAM, HPAM and NPAM) as primary materials and an outstanding composite flocculant NFAC-PEM/AM had been filtrated. The optimized conditions of synthesis for NFAC-PEM/AM composite flocculant are as following: WNFAC : WPEM/AM is 6, pH is about 4.17, reaction temperature is 50℃and aging time is 48h. The structure of NFAC-PEM/AM composite flocculant was indicated by IR, SEM and XRD and the configuration of [Al+Fe] was analyzed by Ferron timed complex colorimetric method. The flocculating mechanism including charge neutralization, adsorption and bridge, sweep and special effect was demonstrated by SEM and comparative flocculation experiments. When the adding is 20mg·L-1, the removal rate of turbidity, oil and COD extends 85% for a majority of oily sewages.
