In the oil&gas storage and transportation system, storage was an important part. Currently adopts the steel quality oil tank, whereas the tank always corrodes by the internal and external medium. So corrosion has become one of the most serious forms of damage, and it was the potential danger for the oil tank long term safe operation. Because the influence of the tube material, environment, storing medium etc. factors, the corrosion of the oil tank was very complicated, as far its mechanism needs further research. The corrosion behavior research was not enough for the 10# steel oil tank of the"Liutun crude oil tank". Under these circumstances, through the survey, test and research of the Liutun oil tank corrosion situation, its electrochemistry corrosion, subscale corrosion and stress corrosion behavior were simulated in the lab, many experiment data were accumulated, which can play a guiding part for the protection of the tank corrosion.In this research of the 10# steel corrosion behavior, there were mainly three parts of experiment: the electrochemistry corrosion of the 10# steel, subscale corrosion and stress corrosion. For the electrochemistry corrosion experiment, the E-t curve, linear polarizing curve, tafel curve and dynamic voltage polarizing curve of the 10# steel under the condition of oil tank bottom water were drawn by M273 electrochemistry corrosion experiment meter; For the subscale corrosion, the influence of the oil tank bottom blackout effect for the corrosion was experimentally researched through simulating the lock-out battery principle; for the stress corrosion, slow strain rate tensile test was adopted, the stress corrosion behavior of the 10# steel was simulated in the oil tank bottom water solution. In addition, combining the component of the oil tank bottom water, the influence of the ion concentration for the corrosion was researched.
