Egg is one of nourishing foods in our daily life. It must be sorted, packed and inspected before they enter into the market. But eggs are easy to be broken during the process of collecting, processing, transporting and circulation. It's therefore, necessary to intensively study egg's biomechanics and quantitative analysis egg's load capacity to ensure the reliability and rationality of processing and design. It's favorable to understand egg's mechanics and its laws. Then, egg's mechanics are more intensively researched and broken mechanism was revealed, which can conduct egg's storing, collecting and transporting.In this task, a impact test-system was contrived. The egg dropping impact test-system includes hardware and software. Hardware includes bearing bracket, pneumatic devices, impact platform, sense, electric amplifier and data acquisition card. It's used for fixing and releasing the egg, fulfilling the impact movement, acquisition impact signal, signal amplification, filtering and acquisition. The software was compiled with VC++ program language. It used for operation of the system and data acquisition. The system can record test parameters, gather test data and show the impact force-time curve.The impact testing system was used for the following experiment: 1) Single-factor experiment of different dropping heights; 2) Single-factor experiment of different cushion materials; 3) Single-factor experiment of different impact parts of eggs; 4) Single-factor experiment of different thickness of material; 5) Various factors orthogonal experiment. Base on Single-factor experiments, the influence of the thickness of cushion materials, elasticity modulus of materials, the impact parts and dropping heights on peak force and impact time was lucubrated. Then, according to orthogonal experiment, the relationship between every factor and impact parameters was analyzed. The study was conducted on egg's biomechanics and broken mechanism.The regression equation was constructed. The results of impact experiment showed: There was a great relationship between the impact parameters and experiment factors. The dropping heights of eggs, modulus of elasticity and thickness of materials evidently influence the impact parameters, such as contact time and peak force. There was nearly no relationship between the impact parameters and impact parts. The decreasing sequence of various factors which influence on the egg drop impact peak force is the height of the drop, the elastic modulus, the material thickness, the impact part; The decreasing sequence of various factors which influence on the egg drop impact time is the height of the drop, material thickness, elastic modulus, the impact part.The regression equations have been established. The curves fitting have been made for the regression equations. The relationship between every factor and impact parameters were found. It may provide certain reference for processing, packaging and transporting eggs.
