membrane bio-reactor (MBR) technology has many advantages, which are not possessed by traditional methods and it has the very good application prospect. Membrane pollution and high energy consumption are two bigbottlenecks for MBR's extensive appliance. We put forwarded a new type MBR, which can replace the blast and call off the out water pump. In more than 100 day's experiment in laboratory we researched the feasibility of this new MBR's practical application and studied its dispose effect for municipal wastewater and tried to discover potential problems. By the experiment we found jet aeration could realize high oxygen consistence in the reactor between 6mg/L~8mg/L. We also found it could garantee high sludge consistence in the reactor about 4000mg/L~7000 mg/L. Our experiment went through three sludge retain time (SRT, 80days,40days,20days)and there were four enter water load in each SRT. No matter how the enter waer changed the equit was very good. The wipe off ratio of COD exceeded 90%; the wipe off ratio of NH3-N exceeded 95%; the wipe off ratio of turbid degree exceeded 90% and the turbid degree of the equit was less than 1 NUT. Long sludge retain time is good for the wiping of contamination. We feeled about the best cleanout mean: wash with NaC10 and NaOH lition about 0.4% in 30℃→wash with water about 30℃→wash with NaC10 and NaOH lition about 0.4% in 30℃. We consider that temperature plays a very important role in membrane pollution and membrane washing. We also find out that jet aeration would cause the sludge to be quite fine, which has advateges but also has Shortcomings. So we proposed the improvement measure.
