With the characteristics of a great strength of labors unsteadily wedding seam quality , weak efficiency, dependability of skilled workers especially a dose of welding seam production of circular welding seam devices, low automatic level ,bad following welding seam effects, most of the present welding seam lines inside our country are adopted by traditional artificial welding seam or semi-automatic welding seam .for this reason ,the author mainly researched and resolved two important factors on circular welding seam following automatically: Firstly, the influence of the performance of servo system on the stability and the quick-response in the system. Secondly, the design scheme about control algorithm and signal acquisition. Based on the embedded research of the above mentioned questions, this paper works out "the average method of the excessive amplitude wave area" and it can collect the signal which is provided with the actual current's genius characters after processing the welding current which is gained by rotating arc sensors and mixed a lot of random information.In order to meet the requirements of the welding accuracy , the author designs this control system with three single chip microcomputer (SCM) as its core. The AT89C51, the major control chip, is responsible for handling and analyzing the signals which are collected by the sensors with the help of the engaged-algorithms. and it transmits these signals to the slave chip; the two slave chips (80C51) control the cross actuating device and the vertical actuating device respectively. The two slave SCM carry out two major functions. on the one hand, the slave SCM receive the control-instructions from the major SCM; on the other hand, they actualize the welding scout by controlling the servo system.The system can be used not only to improve the welding seam following efficiency but also to increase the ability of anti-jamming to weld open wide seam because it is adopted a better rotating arc sensor which is technically of small volume and highly rotating spend and time used shortened proved by virtual model experiments, the design in this thesis is correct and available.
