Wet grinding mills work in a mal-condition, wet grinding liners need a combinationproperty.Traditional liners can't use enduringly because of their defects. To solve thisproblem,a new CrNiMo low carbon high alloy liner steel is designed and smelted ,andits structures and properties are analysed.By the EDS, X-ray diffraction and metallographic analysis, it was found that the finalmicrostructure of the CrNiMo low carbon high alloy steel is martensite after heattreatment. The mechanical property measurement shows that the CrNiMo low carbonhigh alloy steel has an excellent combination properties, and a better match betweenhardness and ductility.The static corrosive experiment and electrochemical experiment were investigated.The results show that there is an anode passivation on the material surface in both acidicand neutral mediators. In the acidic mediator the cathode reaction of the system ishydrogen evolution reaction, in the neutral mediator it absorbs oxygen. The speed ofcathode reaction in acidic mediator is faster than that in neutral. In alkali mediator thecorrosive reaction is controlled by both anode reaction and cathode reaction, and thespeed is moderate. The CrNiMo low carbon high alloy steel is most stabile in neutralmediator, and least in acidic mediator.The wear property in the same acidic slurry but different impact energies is investtigated by means of MLD-10 tester. The results show that impact energy has a importanteffect on wear property, the wear loss increases as the impact energy increases in thesame time. According to SEM and metallographic analysis, the wear mechanisms indifferent impact energies are analysed. The results show that: the wear mechanisms ofthe CrNiMo low carbon high alloy steel is characterized by micro-cut, slight plasticyield and corrosive wear under 0.8J impact energy; And it is different in different timeunder 1.5J impact energy, the mechanism is also mainly micro-cut in earlier wear stage,and it is characterized by low-cycle fatigue spalling and corrosive wear finally.
