As the increase of the demand for and the decrease of the storage of the fossil fuel, biodiesel has been paid increasing attention as one of the alternative fuels. In this study, biodiesel is mainly produced by transesterification of vegetable oils or animal fats withalcohol using NaOH,CH3ONa as a catalyst. The effect of alcohol-to-oil(mole),catalyst dosage, temperature and reaction time on the methyl ester yield was also discussed in the paper. By orthogonality experiment, It was indicated that the optimal process condition for the transesterification reaction of rapeseeds oil was methanol to oil molar ratio at 6: 1 , 1% (CHO3Na) wt% of oil, reaction temperature was about 60℃, reaction time was about 90 minutes. It was showed that fatty acid methyl ester yield was over 95.81% at best technology conditions. The ester exchange reaction is conducted with NaOH as the catalyst, and the effect is discussed of alcohol-to-oil(mole),catalyst dosage, temperature and reaction time on the reaction, The results of the studx, show that, when compared with the It was indicated that the optimal process condition for the transesterification reaction of rapeseeds oil was methanol to oil molar ratio at 6:1,1%(NaOH)wt% of oil, reaction temperature was about 60℃, reaction time was about 60 minutes.Establish the analytical of glycerin content in biodiesel, peroxide number, acid number, dynamic viscosity and so on ,it can't only be used in analyzing in biodiesel, but also in many raw materials. The biodiesel major properties resembled that of 0 # diesel oil. It scold - filter-pour-point was -11℃. It was much lower than that of 0 # diesel oil which was about 4℃. Thoes method is very important for biodiesel research and quality control. To give several suggestions for biodiesel development in our country, and figures out that we should innovate independently, communicate and cooperate in domestic and abroad, the government, enterprise and the institute should endeavor together to empolder new technology.
