Phthalic Acid Esters(PAEs)are used as the plasticizers in the manufacture of Poly(vinyl chloride).Some kinds of PAEs are harmful to human health and are forbidden by EU and JAPAN.It is important to established a method to identify and determine the PAEs in the Poly(vinyl chloride).Four PAEs(DBP,BBP,DEHP,DNOP)have been studied as the samples in this thesis using the Pyrolysis Gas Chrmatography/Mass Spectrometry(Py-GC/MS) technique.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Py-GC/MS is a good technique to identify the polymer and its additives,easily and quickly.The method is better than FTIR.2.The thermal degradations of PVC were studied by Evolved Gas Analysi-Mass Spectrometry(EGA-MS).The results showed that the additives are evolved below 280℃,and the PVC are degradation above 300℃.3.The samples were diluted by Tetrahydrofuran and introduced into Py-GC/MS at 550℃.The ion 149 and ion 36 were used for quantitative analysis.The R~2 of method is 0.987 and the RSD was 7.70%.The internal standard method was used for quantitative analysis,also.The RSD was 7-8%and the recoveries were from 84%to 106%. 4.Using intemal standard method,the samples have been studied by Thermal Desorption-Gas Chrmatography/Mass Spectrometry(TD-GC/MS).The RSDs was 0.25-4.6%and the recoveries were from 86%to 99%.5.When the concentration of PAEs was below 0.5%,PVC would affect the quantitative analysis of PAEs.
