Through the research on the treatment of industrial wastewater from the production process of 6-Nitro-1,2-NapHthoxydiazole-4-sulfonic acid (6-nitrly for short) which include mainly 1-diazo-2-napHthol-4-sulfonic acid wastewater(1,2,4-acid for short) and 1,2-NapHthoxydiazole- 4- Sulfonic acid wastewater(1,2,4-oxygen-acid for short),an effectual wastewater treating method was found out. And some theoretic basis and technical support for the deeper research and engineering application of dye wastewater was provided by it.In this research many techniques were tried, but some of these were impracticable. According to some practicable methods, the treatment technique flowchart was definite. First the macroporous absorption resin (AL-8) was used to treat 1,2,4-acid wastewater and 1,2,4-oxygen-acid was treated by using secondary coagulating sedimentation. Finally the two kinds of wastewater were mixed and treated by Fenton oxidation technology to be discharged meeting the first-order discharge requirement.The experiment results show that the AL-8 resin can absorb much organic matter in the 1,2,4-acid wastewater . The velocity of flow,PH and the water inflow consistency are main factors that affect treatment. By absorption the COD of 1,2,4-acid wastewater was reduced to 1900mg/L and the chroma was reduced to 800times. FeSO4·7H2O as the flocculating agent and CaO as the coagulant aid were both used in the coagulating sedimentation process. The adding mode , quantity of flocculating agent and stirring time are main factors affecting the treatment. After the coagulating sedimentation process, the COD of 1,2,4-oxygen-acid was reduced to 3548mg/L and the chroma was reduced to 2400times.The two kinds of wastewater were treated by the above-mentioned methods and then were mixed 2:1 by the volume ratio. After mixing, some of the water-quality index are as follows. The COD is 2450mg/L, chroma is 1600times, pH is 1.0, SS is 128mg/L. In this research the Fenton oxidation method as the final disposal method was used. Single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment were carried out to find the optimal operation condition. The result of the experiment indicated that the indexes of the wastewater can reach first grade of the discharge standard by secondary Fenton oxidtation treatment. The results are as follows. The COD is 83.5mg/L, chroma is 32times, pH is 7.5, SS is 32mg/L.
